Basic mission statement of Spice Isle Smiles is to address the high prevalence of Early Childhood Caries (ECC) of K-6 grade students living in the rural communities located on the north end of the island nation of Grenada. In 2017, this project was introduced and performed at 3 K-6 grade schools. The incidence of dental decay for this population of 650 kids was close to 91%. Our 2022 project at the same schools presented a decay incidence of 42% and a 4th school of 91 kids was added to the project. During our 2024 project we added 5th school of 78 kids. We recorded a decay incidence of our initial 3 schools at 20%. This is a substantial drop from the 91% incidence of dental decay recorded in 2017. We also made great strides by involving the new National Dental Director of Grenada during our 2024 project. She assigned 2 local dentists, 4 dental assistants and 1 dental therapist to work with us. These individuals learned our prevention protocol and are excited to take this program to other schools in Grenada.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
